The race to offer battery electric vehicles in Thailand has begun with three players showing interest in official sales. Nissan LeafNissan has already confirmed that it will be officially selling the second-gen Leaf in Thailand next year, hence the preview of it at this year’s Motor Expo. The latest Leaf comes with a new battery pack with improved energy storage allowing for 400km range on a single charge under Japan’s JC08 driving mode. An affiliated brand to Hyundai, Kia claims that Thailand will be the first country in Asean to receive official sales of the Soul EV. Although official sales start early next year, bookings for the C-HR are being taken.
